Our Gift Voucher is a great way to give the gift of a Katona theatre experience for any occasion. The recipient can choose from our current programme and select the performance they would like to see.

Katona József Theatre Gift Vouchers can be purchased on this page and loaded with any amount between HUF 1,000 and HUF 100,000.

The voucher balance can be used in the katona.jegymester.hu online ticket shop or at the Katona József Theatre box offices. It can be used in one or several purchases and combined with payment by bank card or SZÉP Card.

Information

* The voucher can be used to purchase tickets that are currently available.
* The voucher does not guarantee admission to a performance.
* Valid for use: 10 July 2026 – 25 April 2027.
* The voucher is transferable. Vouchers purchased in person are non-refundable. Vouchers purchased online may be refunded within 14 days.
* Personal data is retained for 18 months.
* The voucher can also be used to purchase the book A második életmű; Székely Gábor és a színházcsinálás iskolája. Please contact our Audience Services Office if you wish to use your voucher for this purpose.

Using your voucher online

* After purchasing a voucher, you will receive the voucher together with an accompanying letter containing the card number and password required for online purchases. The password works like a CVC code when making an online payment.
* The password is required for every online purchase.
* When purchasing tickets online, select your preferred payment method at step four. At the bottom of the list, select Katona Gift Card. Enter your card number and password in the pop-up window.
* Only one voucher can be used per online transaction. If the voucher does not cover the full amount, the remaining balance can be paid by bank card.
* The voucher can be used until 6pm on 25 April 2027.

Using your voucher in person

* When using your voucher at the theatre, the accompanying letter is not required. Our Audience Services staff can identify the voucher using its card number.
* Multiple vouchers can be used for a single purchase. If the voucher balance does not cover the full amount, the difference can be paid using any payment method accepted at our box office.
* The voucher can be used until 25 April 2027.
