No. There is no past. There is now. And from the now, we think about the past. What is memory? Well, it's neuroscience, kids. Memories are unreliable and tricky and slippery because their biological function is to support our narratives. We are human, we seek coherence. We cannot live with contradictions. And we do not construct our worldview from our memories; rather, our worldview is already formed, and we pick and mold those memories that confirm that yes, we see the world correctly, it really is like this. And my place is here. And theirs is there. Victim. Freedom fighter. The nasty, evil man.

The second year of the seventh Orbán government. Károly Gelléry, a European Citizen Prize-winning artist, legendary university professor, and theater director, is expecting his former directing students for a class reunion. Intense snowfall is expected throughout the night in Budapest.
